Bathsheba is an ideal holiday spot for the tourists as well as locals. The place provides an excellent opportunity to unwind and retreat from the grind of daily routine. The famous beach, Soup bowl, is a surfer’s heaven. It is renowned for its consistent and sizeable waves as well as the peculiarly shaped rocks that stick out of the sand. Various international surfing competitions are held here annually.
The Bathsheba Beach offers breathtaking views of the island. The Andromeda Botanical Gardens, abound in lush vegetation, are home to a huge array of bird and animal species. Joe’s River Tropical Rainforest, located on the outskirts of the town, boasts of exotic rainforest flora.
The town also has a quite a few quaint little churches, the most notable being the Saint Joseph Anglican Church, built as early as 1640. Other attractions here include the Flower Forest and the Cotton Tower, which provide an amazing panorama of the Scotland District.
