Tourist Guide Fitts Village
Fitts Village is a beautiful, tiny village located on the western coast of the Caribbean Sea in Barbados, Central America. It lies at the edge of the calm, serene, clear blue sea, accompanied by huge expanses of never ending, warm and coral white sand.
Fitts Village is characterised by a wonderful mild tropical climate, and it remains pleasantly warm and sunny almost all through the year. The monsoon season is from August to October.
The name is derived from the Fitt family, who owned the western part of the island. The property was then sold off and this helped bring in tourism to the village. Some of the earliest inhabitants of Fitts Village include the Carmichaels and the Forbeses.
The economy here is sustained primarily through fishing and tourism.
