Tourist Guide Needham’s point
Needham’s point, a beautiful beach, is situated at the southern tip of the Carlisle Bay. Located at the south-west end of Barbados, Needham’s Point is surrounded by Pebbles Beach and Drill Hall Beach.
Needham’s Point is characterised by a mild tropical climate, and it stays warm and sunny almost all through the year, thereby providing the ideal conditions to enjoy the beaches here.
It has been associated with the defence forces for a long time. Built in 1805, the buildings here were used as military barracks in the early nineteenth century. The Naval Dockyard was also based here.
Agriculture and tourism are the two money making industries in Needham’s Point.
