Tourist Guide Ambergris Caye
The biggest island of Belize is called as Ambergris Caye. It is situated towards the northeast part of Belize in the Caribbean Sea. Its width is 1.6 KM and length is 40 KM.
The population of this place in January 2007 was between 15,000 and 20,000.
The sun and heat of the tropics keeps this place warm and the trade winds off the Caribbean Sea cools the place. Throughout the year the temperature during the day varies from 24 to 35 degrees Celsius.
The culture of the place is affected by the settlers from Mexico who introduced the Catholic culture and the Mexican traditions as well as the Spanish language. The official language is English but the main language is Spanish.
