The Seven Mile Beach, with its beautiful marine life and crystal clear waters, was voted ‘The Caribbean’s Best Beach’. Today, it is the most popular Cayman beach and is located in the most developed part of Grand Cayman Island.
The beach, which is five miles long, offers tourists plenty of snorkelling and diving opportunities. It consists of small coral reefs that guarantee a unique snorkelling experience.
Lined with a number of small hotels, resorts, villas and beach-cafes serving authentic local dishes, this beach is a paradise for visitors. The city of Georgetown, which is the capital city of the Cayman Islands, lies to the south.
The beach, along with the Grand Cayman Island, celebrates several events and festivals. Pirates Week Festival is celebrated with fireworks, music and dance, while Batabano, the Grand Cayman carnival, is also celebrated with much fervour.
