Tourist Guide Jacó
The meaning of Jaco is “horse” and is also called “The city of Surf” is located in Puntarenas province in a Costa Rica. It is a coastal city in the Central Pacific region near the Shores of the Pacific Ocean. The Jaco city can be reached from San Jose by road and take around 1 hour 30 minutes. The city of Jaco is surrounded by mountains and consists of beaches like Herradura, Jaco and Hermosa.
Round the year the town has a population of around 5000-6000 but the number of people visiting the city may go as high as 20000 during the peak time in the year.
The town has spring like climate around the year which makes it an ideal destination for travel year-round. The average temperature ranges from 85-95 F with high to moderate humidity. The Jaco is a very lively town which is well known amongst the Costa Ricans as well as North Americans. The town is lined with many shops, discos and restaurants. It is also a popular surfing destination.
