La Fortuna is a small rural city, located in the province of Alajuela, in Costa Rica. The airport is close to the Arenal Volcano, which is one of the main attractions of La Fortuna and is one of the top 20 most active volcanos of the world. La Fortuna is only 20 km far from the entrance of the Arena Volcano National Park. Other worth visiting place for tourists is La Catarata de la Fortuna, a waterfall 70 metres high.
