Quepos is located in the county of Puntarenas, Costa Rica in America. The population here is high and was measured to be 14,000 according to the 2000 census. The city is often referred as the 'Bill Fish Capital' because it is offers numerous variety of fish. It is also a neighbor to the booming city of Manuel Antonio. The city was initially founded by the Munis of Spain who emerged in Costa Rica. The city is situated on the eastern border of Costa Rica and is bordered by five towns. The average temperature in Quepos ranges around 20 degrees throughout the year. The city also fares moderate breezes in the months of January and February. The population has tremendously shown a fair increase every year. The town has a total area of about 10.3 square kilometers. Agriculture is an important occupation that is carried out here along with fishing. The state park situated here is known to attract tourists that are more in number than it can cater to.
