The highest mountain in Costa Rica is Cerro Chirripó located at an altitude of 3,820 metres. The mountain is also home to Chirripó National Park which is well known for its ecological wealth. The snow fall happens regularly. The peak is home to varied species of plants and animals due to its height. Visitors can simultaneously the Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea on a clear day.
