Tobías Bolaños International Airport is situated in the Pavas suburb of San Jose at about 5km from the city centre.
It is amongst the four international airports of Costa Rica. It is mainly used for domestic flights and handles only 2 scheduled flights to Bocas Toro, Panama and Granada, Nicaragua.
It also acts as a major hub for Nature Air, which is one of the two major airlines of Costa Rica. Flights to Barra del, Drake Bay, Tambor, Uuepos, Punta Islita and others are scheduled by Nature Air.
Paradise Air and Aerobell are other two standard airlines for which the airport caters, along with a number of private international chartered flights.
Plenty of hotels, restaurants, shopping venues and accommodation options are available near the airport area.
