Tourist Guide Tamarindo
Tamarindo, the most popular destination in Costa Rica, is located in the northern regions of Guanacaste Province on the North Pacific Coast. Formerly, a quaint fishing village, Tamarindo with its flawless beaches, sparkling blue waters and spectacular natural surroundings is developing into an active tourist centre.
With a population of approximately 8000 inhabitants, Tamarindo beach is peppered with beautiful shells, fishing boats and Sea Turtle nesting grounds.
Tamarindo is characterised by two seasons: the dry season from November to April is hot and sunny with a low humidity level and the rainy season from May to October with partly sunny days and showers by nightfall.
Also known as the ‘Gold Coast’, Tamarindo is a cosmopolitan and global village catering to the needs of all its inhabitants as well as its tourists.
