The Municipal museum located in Baracoa was opened on 1th October 1981. It is located in a Spanish Fortress which was built in the first half of eighteenth century to protect the city from attacks. The museum is a home to various artifacts belonging to the local culture of Baracoa. Visitors can get acquainted with the history of the Baracoa at this museum.
