Tourist Guide Marigot
The town of Marigot is located on the north-eastern part of the country of Dominica in the parish of St. Andrew.
The topography is mainly flat with some sheer cliffs near the coast. The rest of the area comprises of wide bays and sandy beaches. The climate is tropical and hovers around the mid-twenties. This area experiences plenty of rainfall.
Marigot has a population of about 2,700 people. Most of the people in this area have descended from the Caribs. There are also descendants of the African slaves that were brought here by colonial planters.
The culture is a vibrant mix of different traditions and is greatly influenced by the British, French, Creole, Carib and African settlers.
