Bavaro is located in the Punta Cana region of the Dominican Republic. Essentially, a beach resort area, the landscape is stunningly beautiful with white sandy beaches, tall coconut trees and sparkling blue waters. The climate is tropical and pleasant with an average temperature of 26° C all round the year.
The population of Punta Cana is estimated at about 100,000 people. Most of the inhabitants are of mixed European, African and Taino ancestry. A small part of the population is also of Spanish descent.
Elements of Hispanic culture mixed with African and Taino traits make up the culture of this region. The national language is Castilian Spanish; English, French, German and Italian are also spoken.
