Bayahibe: Attractions and more...
Bayahibe has pristine beaches where you can swim, wind surf, fish, dive or just soak up the sun.
A major tourist attraction is the Parque Nacional Del Este. This unique park has beautiful limestone terraces and caves with pre-Columbian pictographs. It also has lush mangrove swamps with many different exotic birds. Another activity that is very popular in the park is diving and snorkelling among the coral reefs to view the amazing aquatic wildlife.
The Isla Saona is another popular tourist destination and involves an enjoyable 45 minute boat ride. The island itself is picturesque with beautiful white beaches and tall coconut trees. Lucky visitors may even catch a glimpse of the bottlenose dolphins or manatees in the surrounding waters.
The quaint cobble stoned streets of the Altos De Chavon have many art galleries and shops.
