Sosúa is a small town which is situated in the province of Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic. The town is divided into 3 divisions namely Los Charamicos, Sosua Abajo and El Batey which is relatively more popular than the other two. The Puerto Plata International Airport lies 4 miles from the town. The town has a total population of 64,198 inhabitants as per the 2008 census. The village is known to have a cosmopolitan and multilingual character with its influx of tourists. There are several guest houses, idyllic beaches, cafes and hotels here. This seaside town has a sunny climate throughout the year. It is the perfect place to soak in the sun and enjoy at the various beaches.
