There are a lot of activities that visitors to St Patrick’s can choose from such as sun bathing, water sports, fishing and shopping. There is also a vibrant night life with many bars and cafes.
St Patrick’s has an abundance of historical sites that are major tourist attractions. The Morne des Sauteurs is of special significance as a number of Carib settlers committed suicide by jumping from this hill to avoid living under the domination of the French.
The Roman Catholic Church is another area of great historical significance. Here you can still view the tools used by slaves to cut roads from the rocks. St. Patrick’s also has the world’s only functional water-powered sugar mill.
The annual Feast Day of St Patrick is a major celebration with colourful exhibitions of local arts and craft, agricultural produce, food, drinks and many cultural extravaganzas.
