Port au Prince is the ideal departure point for day-trips excursions to the
typical villages and towns in the surrounding hills.
Relax and peace can be also enjoyed on the not far beautiful beaches, but though
smaller, the ones in the city centre, are nice, too!
There is really a lot to do and visit in Port au Prince! Places not to be missed
for a visit are:
- The active Iron Market for food and other goods.
- St. Trinity a Cathedral inside which are paintings and murals of the local
vodoo and of Catholic belief as well! One of the paintings portrays Wedding
at Cana, but a Haitian village is where the action takes place this time!
- The Museum of Haitian Art reflects the true spirit and tradition of this extremely
fascinating country.
