Malvern: Attractions and more...
Malvern is a quiet mountain village without the hustle and bustle of a typical tourist destination. Set above the south coast of Jamaica, it awards some beautiful views of the sea and the coastline.
At a short distance from the village is the Treasure Beach which is flanked by numerous small fishing villages. The beach is a great place for a stroll or a swim and to sample some of the local cuisine. From the rocky spots jutting out into the sea, fish, dolphins and even manatees (sea cows) can be spotted. For a more strenuous walk, try the trails up the hills towards Malvern.
Though at quite a distance from Malvern, it may well be worth making a trip to Lover’s Leap for the breathtaking views. It is a steep cliff overhanging the sea believed to be the point from where two slaves jumped to their death.
