Moneague: Attractions and more...
The natural beauty of the parish has earned it the title of Garden parish of Jamaica. Since Moneague was the residence of rich traders in the colonial times, the town is home to several grand structures which give it a very charming and picturesque appearance. Some of the buildings have been converted to hotels and cafes while others are private residences.
One such establishment is the Café Aubergine housed in the former Moneague Café. The Moneague Hotel has been converted into the residential part of the Moneague Community College, an establishment for the training of teachers.
