Devon House is a heritage site and one of leading national monument and symbol of cultural diversity of Jamaica. The Devon house was built 127 years ago in the 1881 by the first black millionaire of Jamaica, George Steibel. The house is spread in a vast area of 11-acre, furnished with antique furniture, paintings, carpets and drapes. It was opened to the public in the year 1968. Its lush sprawling lawns provide a beautiful ambience soothing the mind as well as soul. Along with it, Devon House also offers a desirable shopping experience in its souvenir shops for both local and overseas visitors. Devon house is an ideal place for friends and families to meet and socialize over lunch or dinner.
Along with exploring the place and shopping, there is so much more to do on the property. Devon house is certainly a favorite place for business functions, weddings, as well as other events.
