Since Montego Bay is a tropical region, bring lightweight clothing. The culture in the city is different from western culture in terms of values and dress code.Tourists need to be more respectful and show their respect for local culture.
Sundresses are fine for ladies for church or mass. However, jeans are not tolerated in formal environments for women. Men are expected to wear a golf/polo shirt with a collar for any type of formal occasion such as church or mass.
One must also remember that no tank tops or sleeveless shirts are allowed; garments with sleeves must be worn at all times. Remember to bring swimsuits.
Water shoes or sandals that strap on tightly are necessary for climbing the falls.
Writing materials, special medicine, personal hygiene items, passport, hat and sunscreen are some necessary items that should be packed.
