Tourist Guide Negril
Negril is a large beach resort that is located in the Caribbean country of Jamaica. This massive resort area spreads over the two parishes of Westmoreland and Hanover.
The topography of the area is quite diverse. In addition to sprawling sandy beaches, Negril is also home to the Great Morass, an ecologically diverse swamp area.
The climate is tropical and the weather is mostly hot and humid.
Most of the inhabitants are of African origin. Other significant ethnic groups include the East Indians, Europeans, Chinese and Syrians.
The culture of this region has become popular all over the world with the popularity of the musical form of reggae. Other Jamaican genres of music that have become popular all over the world include ska, mento, rocksteady, dub, dancehall and raga.
