The region is dotted with waterfalls. The most popular being the Dunn’s River Falls. The walls of the falls are accessible to those attempting to climb and the pool at the bottom is open for those who want a swim. Eden Falls is another beautiful site. Rafting on the White River or hiking in the surrounding hills is a must while in Ocho Rios.
Dolphin Cove is popular with divers, where one can swim and play with the beautiful creatures. The Cranbrook Flower Forest is ideal for a day of outdoor activities like hiking, swimming, fishing etc. The Crafts Market is a huge open air market with close to 200 stalls selling all sorts of local products. The town’s pier is broad enough to accommodate three liners making Ocho Rios a popular destination for cruise liners.
The Fern Gully just outside the city used to be a riverbed but is now covered with hundreds of species of ferns and rain-forest-like foliage.
