Richmond is a market town in the north east of Jamaica in Saint Mary parish. The town has an altitude of 1817 feet and geographical coordinates of 18.242996 degrees north and 76.893793 degrees west. It has a population of 2046. Richmond is surrounded by Ulster Spring and the Alps in the west, Gibraltar in the east, Litchfield and Caledonia in the south and Sawyers, Belmont, Norwich and Endeavour in the north. There are a number of tourist attractions which can be found in the nearby cities such as Kingston, Jamaica, Ocho Rios, Oracabessa, Treasure Beach and more. San Juan Luis Munoz Marin International Airport is the nearest airport to this town and lies 1151 kilometers from Richmond. The Richmond Police Station at St. Mary was refurbished a few years back improving the masonry, building, painting, carpentry and equipment of the station. The Black River Convalescent Home residence built especially for sick policemen was also renovated.
