Tourist Guide Boaco
Boaco, the agricultural heart of Nicaragua is situated in the middle of Nicaragua country. As an agricultural region, the city is home to around 317,000 people. Boaco city is made by combining 6 municipalities wherein people are engaged in agriculture. The term ‘Boaco’ is named after the aboriginal sumo tribe ‘Boaj, after the joining of sumo pronunciation and nahutl, Boaj came to be called as Boaco. The city is placed ninety kilometers away from Managua and is popularly called as the two floor city in Nicaragua. In July every year the city conducts a ‘milk fair’ and on the same month probably on the 25th Boaco organizes regional parties in the memory of apostle Santiago. Boaco was once dwelt by the nahuas tribes and sumos. Boaco natives make their home by cattle raising and milk production. The city is popular for its milk and cheese as well as for its remarkable natural beauties. Even though the natural beauty of Boaco is not well-known, the city retains its mind blowing beauty.
