San Juan del Sur is a popular fishing town of Nicaraguan. Inhabitants of the locality make their home by fishing or some people arrange snorkeling and diving trips in and beyond the beautiful bay. Though San Juan del Sur is a non-spectacular locality, it yet remains as a beautiful fishing village on the southern pacific banks of Nicaragua. The city is embedded with Managua having a lighthouse placed close to the William walker smashed fort. As a coastal city it retains the beauty of the sea and the flora and fauna. It is located in south west Nicaragua on the Pacific Ocean. The locality itself remains as an incredible tourist destination as it owns many remarkable beaches. The city is well known among the surfboarders and apart from this San Juan del Sur is a popular holiday site for families and foreign visitors. Tourists recognize this spot as an alternative to Costa Rica. As a coastal city it bears a population of around 18,500 people.
