All the main dishes include fish accompanied by servings of rice or beans. Popular delicacies include Molho de fogo (smoked fish in a vegetable stew), Calulu (fish in a vegetable stew with herbs and breadfruit), Peixe salgado (salted fish cooked in palm oil), Gandu cozido (boiled shark) Andala assada (grilled swordfish). Meals are generally washed down with the local Palm Wine.
