I first visited in November when there were few tourists around, but the days were still warm. However, some of the restaurants had closed for the season, particularly the smaller ones which was a little disappointing as these are usually the best, more so than the larger tourist trap establishments. My next visit was in early June, the weather was much warmer and swimming was pleasant as the beaches weren't too crowded. Most restaurants were open. I think June is a perfect month to visit as it is not too hot and the main tourist season has really got into full swing.
