Hostel Placida in Split 

Hostel Placida is situated in the old town,only 10 min. walk from harbor,bus and train station.We are located 150 m from the Diocletian s Palace(1700 old Roman monument). Near us there is everything: bar, restaurant, ATM, bank, exchange office, market, drugstore,bakery,disco and beautiful rocky and sandy beaches.Hostel Placida (200 meters sq.) + (130 meters sq.) plus apartments (58 meters sq.) is the first hostel in the city and through the years we have gained great experience working with world travelers and have also met great people. In our hostel we offer you 44 beds in spacious and colored rooms, (pink, orange, peach and two en-suite rooms, separated from the hostel, on the first floor in same building and two apartments just 2 minutes walk from the hostel.They have air-conditioning and satellite TV.Please note that we offer accommodation only to people until 45 years of age, since it is very difficult to please all age groups and younger people are always more lively while elders need more privacy and silence which is not so possible in cases where people need to share dormitory.The reception and hostel are on the 2nd floor while on the 4th floor in the same building there is Internet caffe where you have cheap internet access and can make international phone calls for 1 and 2 kunas per minute.For people who want more than just a room and who would like to experience a little bit of adventure we organize rafting on the beautiful river Cetina.In our hostel we offer a living room, terrace for laundry and kitchen.Amenities:- Sat TV - Small kitchen- Balcony - English speaking staff - air-conditioning- Center 0 meters - Free maps & tourist info- Laundry is free for guests staying 3 days or more (powder is not included, but costs 1,5 Euro.), for less day bookings we charge it 35 kunas - Fridge- Cable TV- Organized day trips for rafting- luggage storage (costs 1.2 Euro)If you are looking for chic and comfortable rooms for every budget, then hostel Placida is the best solution for you!If you want to have fun and party, we are going to recommend the best night clubs and bars and inform you about best happenings in Split (concerts, art exhibitions, party's, festivals).If you are passionate about ancient cultures, you should know that our hostel is located just 2 minutes from Diocletian’s palace, Unesco's protected 1700 years old Roman monument.The hostel is ready to help you with everything you need and also recommend where you can go to have a great time to eat, drink and have fun depending on your preferences with explanations on the city map.Hostel:If you are coming by car we will help you to find parking place close to the hostel in a safe place where you don't have to pay.If you arrive by plane we can arrange on demand a taxi from the airport that will cost 37 Euros. If you plan to arrive after 11pm, please call us or send an e-mail at least 1 day before to confirm your arrival. Please let us know about the time of your arrival in your booking paper or by e-mail if you're coming late. on the door there is always phone number so we can be there in 10 minutes if you're late.Checking out is 10 am.Check in is at 11:30am.Luggage storage can be provided after 10 am. GUESTS WHO STAY FOR 3 DAYS AND MORE CAN LEAVE THEIR LUGGAGE EVEN FROM 7AM. YOU CAN ALSO OCCUPY YOUR ROOM BUT ONLY IF IT IS AVAILABLE. TOURIST TAX IS NOT INCLUDED IN PRICE AND IT IS 6KN PER PERSON/DAY.The cancellation must be made 48 hours before the day of the arrival. Please be aware that if you have a ‘no-show’ without advising us before this time, we will have to charge your credit for the first night of your booking.
