The bright well fitted-out kitchen is connected to an even larger, north facing deck (very sunny). We have full laundry facilities (2 washing machines and 2 dryers) and european style showers The hostel has off-street parking and is situated close to Lyttelton's café-bars, supermarket, bank and beaches. It had a violent birth as a volcanic island that erupted 11 million years ago. Christchuch's first settlers landed in Lyttelton in 1850 and then made the historic trek over the Bridal Path to the swamp, that is now Christchurch. It is also a great stop-over on the way to Akaroa.
