The hotel is refurbishing the lower guest room floors of the Shangri-La Wing. The lobby, lounge and reception of the Shangri-La Wing follow in October 2009. These areas are concealed from view until completion in mid-December 2009. While intermittent noise may be experienced by guests, these are confined within normal business hours only.Lobby and reception facilities will be available at the adjacent Ballroom lobby. The hotel meanwhile continues to operate normally with uninterrupted service. The deluxe Krungthep Wing, and newly renovated swimming pool, Salathip and NEXT 2 restaurants by the river, are not affected.
