Hostel Kanonkop House in Knysna 

Kanonkop has 5 en suite rooms, 3 of which are spacious luxury executive suites with unobstructed views over the forest canopy, lagoon and out to the famous Knysna Heads.The 2 large luxury suites open out onto a spacious deck overlooking the pool, garden, with some views over the lagoon.

Each room has been individually decorated by award winning designers. Each of the 5 spacious suites have private entrances, with home comforts including locally made bath products to robes and slippers.

Enjoy a drink in the elegant guest bar, lounge and dining area. Help yourself to the complimentary drinks in the fridge and spirits bar. There is also a microwave and kettle for hot snacks and beverages. After a peaceful night’s sleep, plan the day ahead over a scrumptious breakfast, as well as made-to-order hot dishes served under umbrellas on the patio or in the dining room.

The Garden Route is a very popular golf destination with world-class courses adorning dramatic cliff tops and scenic countryside. Knysna is extremely well positioned, making it possible to play on a different course every day of the week.Take a lagoon fishing trip with Kanonkop’s qualified and experienced skipper, aboard a fully equipped motor boat. He will also take you water skiing and wake-boarding and will give tuition if required. Or, if you prefer something more relaxing, take a sunset cruise aboard a luxury speed boat. Guests are also welcome to make use of Kanonkop’s canoes.Kanonkop has two mountain bikes for guest use and they will transport you to forest bike trails and fetch you later.The beach at Brenton-on-Sea offers kilometres of rolling waves washing onto pristine golden sands, defined by towering sand dunes. Further along is Buffalo Bay, a safe family swimming beach favoured by both locals and visitors.
