Hotel Gutenbergs in Riga 

The hotel is situated within a pair of 4-storey buildings, connected on every floor. The main building was built at the end of the 19th century and reminds one of a prosperous town house or even a country baron's house. It also features 3-metre high ceilings, vast corridors with comfortable recreation areas and Ormolu chandeliers.The second building is much older, with an interior style echoing the 17th century.For conference and seminar purposes, the hotel offers the Johans conference hall on the 4th floor with a maximum capacity of 80 people, theatre-style, and 50 people, U-style. The hall is air conditioned and equipped with audio facilities. The price includes rental of a screen, overhead and data projector, and a flip chart.Near the conference hall there is a small terrace with a view towards the Dome church.There is a modern lift suitable for 10 people.

The cosy and beautiful rooms come with a 19th century interior and offer all the modern conveniences of the 21st century to business people and tourists.In addition to the listed facilities each room offers a safe that can hold even a portable computer and a modern equipped bathroom with a shower or bath.The hotel can offer one disabled room, subject to availability.

The hotel has 2 restaurants. On the first floor, there is the romantic Gutenbergs restaurant with classical Balto-Germanic cuisine meals, a wide assortment of the world's most famous drinks and a good wine cabinet that, together with silent instrumental music, creates a warm and cosy atmosphere.On the 5th floor roof terrace, there is a heated open-air summer restaurant open from April to November with barbecue cuisine, bar and music.Breakfast hours:07:30 - 11:00. Business lunch hours: 12:00 - 16:00 (on working days).Dinner hours:16:00 - 22:00.Famous Latvian musicians perform live after 19:00 on weekends.

From the airport:Bus no. 22 leaves the airport every half hour from 05:50 until23:15 and takes approximately 30 to 35 minutes to reach the hotel. Get off at stop 13 (Janvara iela, near the central bus and train station).The hotel also offers an airport shuttle at an extra cost. This must be booked in advance.

Hotel Gutenbergs is situated in a quiet, narrow street in the very centre of the old town, next to the great Riga Cathedral and close to all major sights.This cosy family hotel occupies a typical historic building from 1880, with a relief sculpture of Johannes Gutenberg above the gates.The hotel was completely renovated a few years ago, and combines modern comfort with historic furniture, paintings and crockery.The train station is approx. 900 metres away from Hotel Gutenbergs, which can be easily reached on foot.
