Ashley Guest House in York 

Check-in times are from 10:00 to 13:00 and 17:00 to 19:00. The guest house is closed from 13:00 until 17:00. Free parking is available nearby if you are arriving between check-in times.

Please note that unfortunately we do not have any rooms on the ground floor.All room keys have a front door key, so once checked in, access is 24 hours. 3 rooms have large showers and one room has a cast iron freestanding roll top bath.

By Car: - Take the A1 motorway and exit onto the A64 for York. - Take the York West exit and follow the A1036 (Tadcaster Road) and signs for the city centre. - Once you have passed the racecourse on your right, keep driving straight on and through the 1st set of traffic lights. - At the 2nd set of lights turn right onto Scarcroft Road. - Drive straight along until you see the lights up ahead. Scott Street is the 2nd last street before the lights. - Once on Scott Street continue to the top and we are the soft green door on the corner. Scott Street also joins Southlands Road. By Train: - When you arrive at York train station head for the main exit. - You can walk to us and it would take 15 minutes, but taxis are also available. By Foot (from the train station): - Turn right out of the station and walk until you get to a large junction. - Turn right and walk along until you get to a pedestrian crossing. - Cross over and keep walking; there are 2 sets of lights, turn left at the 2nd onto Scarcroft Road. - Go straight along Scarcroft Road until the 2nd to last street on the right, which is Scott Street. Continue as above.

This guest house is in an excellent location, just minutes from the city walls and half way between the city centre and racecourse. Lovingly restored in 2006, this Victorian end of terrace house offers bright and clean non-smoking rooms with modern amenities and antique touches. Three rooms are en suite with big showers, while one room has a cast iron, roll top bath for romantics. Its close proximity to town makes Ashley Guest House an ideal base for exploring all of York's visitor attractions. There is free on-street parking when you stay with us.
