The Falcon Hotel in Uppingham 

For events, the Falcon Hotel has 3 well-appointed suites with natural light. Weddings and private dinners for up to 200 guests can be accommodated, as can meetings for up to 60 people. The hotel offers a shuttle service to London Luton and London Stansted airports when booked in advance (at an additional cost).

The Falcon Hotel is just off the A47 between Leicester and Peterborough. Rutland Water is 6 miles (9.7 km) away and offers trout fishing, cycling and bird watching. Eyebrook is another great trout fishing reservoir. Burghley House and Rockingham Castle are a short drive from the hotel, as is Rockingham Speedway. Golf can be arranged at South Luffenham (5 miles/8 km), Greetham (5 miles/8 km), or at the 9-hole par 3 course overlooking Rutland Water.Oakham is 5 miles/8 km to the north and has a train station. East Midlands Airport is less than 40 minutes' drive away.
