There are 16 individually designed rooms in the grounds of the pub/restaurant.
The hotel’s own on-site restaurant features beams, hops, an open log fire and a wood-burning stove. You can enjoy Kentish Pride real ale and a fine choice of wine. The restaurant offers a full waiting service.Al fresco dining on the patio is very popular on sunny days and warm evenings, when you can see the peaceful surroundings of the countryside.The chefs use the best locally sourced and home-grown produce to create an exciting range of English and continental dishes. On Sundays, a fine Sunday roast is available alongside the other menus.The restaurant is extremely popular, so advance booking is strongly advised. You can choose from 2 sittings: 18:45 and 20:45. Children under 10 years are not allowed in the restaurant after 20:00.Breakfast is available from 07:00 until 09:30.
By Car (from the M20 motorway):- Leave the M20 motorway at junction 7 and take the turn off for the A249, following the signs for Sheerness. - Immediately move over into the right-hand lane and take the turn off for the village of Detling.- Go through the village to the Cock Horse pub. - Opposite the pub, there is a lane called Pilgrims Way, signposted Thurnham. The Black Horse Inn is 5 minutes’ drive, further on down the line.Please note that you are advised not to use satellite navigation after junction 7 of the M20, as you come onto the A249, as satellite navigation systems send you the wrong side of Pilgrims Way.

Please note that you need to reserve a table if you would like dinner. Children under 10 years are not allowed in the restaurant after 20:00.If arriving by car, be careful when using satellite navigation. After M20 junction 7, as you come into the A249, most sat-nav systems will send you the wrong side of the Pilgrims Way. Please ensure you turn right into Detling Village, NOT left towards Boxley Village.
