Hostel The Ellesmere in Eastbourne

The Ellesmere offers a clean, spacious and comfortable standard of guest accommodation, with 15 fully centrally-heated bedrooms. All rooms have en suite facilities, and feature new, luxury interior-sprung mattresses. There is a lift to all floors. Please see individual room details for a complete list of facilities on offer.

Breakfast is served in the comfortable garden-facing dining room. The dining room has separate tables and can accommodate up to 24 people. Breakfast is served from 07:30, Monday to Friday, and from 08:30 on weekends and public holidays. Breakfast consists of a choice of yoghurts, grapefruit, brown or white toast and cereals, followed by a full cooked English breakfast, made with fresh locally sourced produce, wherever possible. Guests can choose freshly brewed coffee, tea, orange juice or apple juice to accompany their breakfast.

Plenty of on-street parking may be found around the hotel in Wilmington Square, the adjacent seafront, and surrounding roads. The majority of on-street parking is currently unrestricted.

On FootFrom Eastbourne train station:The Ellesmere is about a 10-15 minute walk. Walk along Gildredge Road, which leads into College Road, with Wilmington Square at the end. By CarFrom the M25 motorway;- Turn off at junction 6, onto the A22.- Follow the A22 south, all the way to Eastbourne seafront.- Driving along Eastbourne seafront with Eastbourne Pier to your left, Wilmington Square is situated a few hundred yards up on the right-hand side, immediately opposite the large, round Wish Tower monument.

Adjacent to the seafront, The Ellesmere overlooks the beautiful Wilmington Square Gardens and is directly opposite the Congress and Winter Garden theatres.Eastbourne town centre, the Pier, and Eastbourne's colleges and university are a short walk away. The spacious park-facing lounge is delicately lit with crystal chandeliers and has lovely views.All of the comfortable rooms are en suite, and there is a lift to all floors. New half-board breaks are available (minimum of 4 nights).
