The ancient brewing town of Burton upon Trent is an ideal touring base located between the National Forest and the Staffordshire Moorlands, but within easy reach of the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District.Local attractions include the Museum of Brewing, National Memorial Arboretum and a selection of National Trust houses including Calke Abbey and Kedleston Hall. Alton Towers, Drayton Manor Park and Donington Park are not too far away. The hotel is within easy distance of Uttoxeter Racecourse, the pottery shops of Stoke on Trent and the antiques of Leek.
By CarFrom the North (arriving on the A38):- Exit at the Claymills junction, and turn left on the A5121. - At the 2nd roundabout, follow signs for Leicester (A511) on the 2nd exit. - At the traffic lights (2.1 miles), turn left. Then, at the 2nd set of lights (2.5 miles) turn left, and the entrance to the hotel car park is on the right.From the South (arriving on the A38):- Exit at the first junction for Burton and turn right down to the mini roundabout (320 metres), and turn left on the A5121. - Go straight over the 2nd roundabout and stay on the A5121 until the junction with the A511 (2.5mls).- Then, turn right on the A511 and at the 3rd set of lights, turn left, and the hotel car park is on the right.From the South (on the A42):- Exit at junction 11 and follow the A444. - At the Stapenhill roundabout (8.6miles), turn right. - At the next lights (9.3miles) turn left over Old River Bridge, and move into the right-hand lane.- At the 2nd set of lights, turn right and the entrance to the car park is on your right.
