    Built in 1741, there has in fact always been a dwelling on the site of Peterstone Court since the 14th century.A full Welsh breakfast is served to you each morning, and has received 1st prize in the "Best Welsh Breakfast Competition", organised by the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Mid-Wales Tourism Partnership. The hotel's kitchen team were also the winner of "Gold Standard Dining Out 2005" (by "True Tastes in Wales"), as well as coming 3rd in the Welsh International Culinary Championships. Ingredients are sourced directly from the hotel's own farm, just 11 km (7 miles) away.The hotel was also placed in the "Top 10 Romantic Wedding Locations in the UK" by Tiara magazine, winning the "Georgian Splendour" category.

    Peterstone Court contains 8 rooms in the main house and 4 split-level rooms in the stable block. Elegant designs, well proportioned and beautifully furnished, are complemented by soft quality linens and comfortable beds.

    Situated in the heart of The Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains, Peterstone Court is the ideal base for those who wish to participate in the many outdoor, sporting and venture activities the area has to offer - including walking, caving, climbing, riding, cycling, fishing and golf.**Nearby attractions include:*The South Wales Borderers Museum (5 km / 3 miles) - outlining the rich and varied history of the Royal Regiment of Wales, who have served in every major campaign or war. The museum contains several thousand artifacts.*Tretower Court and Castle (13 km / 8 miles) - this well preserved medieval house is positioned nearby a 13th century stone keep, the remains of an earthwork castle.*Brecon Mountain Railway (38 km / 24 miles) - just a 50 minute drive away is this spectacularly scenic steam hauled railway, running the full length of the Taf Fechan Reservoir.

    By car:*From London: - Leave the M4 at junction 24.- Take the A449 to the junction with the A40.- Take the A40 towards Brecon. - The hotel is approximately 3 km (2 miles) before Brecon, on the left. *From Cardiff: - Leave the M4 at junction 32.- Take the A470 to Brecon.- At Brecon take the A40 towards Abergavenny.- The hotel is approximately 6.5 km (4 miles) on the right hand side. *From Birmingham / West Midlands: - Take the M5 and then the M50 to Ross-on-Wye.- From there take the A40 to Abergavenny.- Proceed onwards toward Crickhowell and Brecon.- The hotel is approximately 3 km (2 miles) on the right. *From Builth Wells: - Take the Abergavenny Road.- After 10-15 minutes look for a right hand turn towards Brecon. - Carry on to a cross-roads and turn right for Cardiff and Brecon.- Travel for 5 km (3 miles), ignoring the right hand turn for Brecon and continuing towards Cardiff.- At the roundabout, turn left onto the A40 towards Abergavenny.- At the end of the dual carriage way, look for signs for Llanhamlach and immediately slow down. - The 2nd turn on the right leads into the hotel's drive.

    Situated in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park, Peterstone Court is loyal to its Georgian heritage but has a contemporary twist.The approach to food is simple and honest: 90% of the meat and poultry served at the restaurant comes from Peterstone Court's nearby family farm. Food is always seasonal and sustainable and features fresh, organic and home-reared ingredients wherever possible.All rooms are large, light and spacious.The spa uses only natural, organic products - a philosophy that has come from the main house. On offer is Ytsara from Thailand and Circaroma, an award-winning contemporary range certified by the Soil Association.
