Wengen, one of the largest mountain health resorts in the Bernese Oberland, is situated on a sunny, wind-sheltered plateau at the foot of the Jungfrau mountain. The village cannot be reached by motorised vehicles, so it is free from cars and dust. By train:From Berne or Zurich to Interlaken, then change for Lauterbrunnen, journey time approx. 20 minutes. Take the Jungfrau Railway to car-free Wengen, approx. 14 minutes. By car:Take the A6 motorway towards Interlaken, then leave at the Interlaken-Ost, Wilderswil, Grindelwald exit. Drive through Wilderswil and carry on towards Lauterbrunnen. Once you arrive in Lauterbrunnen, the best place to park your car is in the large car park just inside the village, directly next to the station. Then take the Jungfrau Railway to Wengen. Our porter will be happy to pick you up at the station in Wengen.
