Our Bar-Café PriMateria serves snacks and refreshments from breakfast to a late cocktail to cool sounds. There is also a lounge and a terrace, as well as a kitchen, where you can cook yourself, and vending machines for drinks and snacks.

From the Basel SBB train station- Go to the main passenger bridge, exit next to Media Markt- On Güterstrasse turn left and walk for about 700 metres towards the church you see - or take tram line 16 from the station for 2 stops and get off at Tellplatz- On Tellplatz square turn right into Bruderholzstrasse and walk one block- On Dornacherstrasse it says “D192” and “Gundeldinger Feld” on the wall of the building on the left-hand side.- Inside this area, walk straight ahead for about 150 metres, directly to our reception.

The BaselBackPack is the first backpacker inn in Basel and offers simple, cosy and inexpensive rooms and beds, only 10 minutes from Basel’s main train station (SBB) and 100 metres from the next tram stop.The guesthouse with bar-café is located in the Gundeldinger Feld, a refurbished factory dating from 1826. Newly renovated with warm colours, the Basel BackPack offers a pleasant ambience in an urban loft style. Shared showers and toilets are located next to the rooms. The Basel Mobility Ticket is included in the price (free use of public transport within in the city).
