Near the oldtown and the Funchal city center

When leaving the airport you take the freeway in the "Funchal" direction. You continue in the freeway until you reach the Exit " Funchal/ Campo da Barca" which you take. You continue straight down and when you reach the roundabout by the sea you turn left. You take the lane on the right and follow the road. After you pass the cable car on your right, your turn right. Go straight ahead and you will reach the entrance of the hotel.

The Hotel Porto Santa Maria is located right by the ocean, where the most important naval station of the island once stood, in the heart of the historical centre of Funchal and close to the street that gave it its name, one of the oldest streets in the city.
