Built in 1910 by the Salvation Army as the "Peoples Palace", Base Brisbane Central is heritage listed with all the charater of a true travellers meeting place. Base Brisbane Central features a specialist travel desk plus our very own job agency with jobs all over Brisbane and beyond.

The Down Under Bar is the only student/backpackers bar in Brisbane! It is always alive and pumping with people. Open 7 nights a week the Down Under Bar is a must do in Brisbane!

The main tourist districts are the CBD, which includes the major shopping areas around the Queen Street Mall, and many of Brisbane sights, South Bank for restaurants, cafes, and boardwalks, Fortitude Valley for more vibrant shopping and nightlife, West End an edgy, bohemian district with artsy shops and cafes, New Farm for upscale shopping and trendy dining places, Brett's Wharf is where the cruise ships dock on the Brisbane River. This area is now called Portside and offers dining, cinemas and specialty shopping. A great place to wander and have a meal.

Base Brisbane Central is located in the heart of Brisbane CBD, opposite Central Train Station. With a sunny rooftop BBQ area and onsite cafe and bistro, Base Brisbane Central is the ideal place to stay.Accommodations range from 10 to 3 share dormitories, doubles and single with shared facilities.
