Podere Salicotto is a traditionally styled Tuscan property, family owned, located in "Le Crete", or the Clay Hills, a spectacular terrain in the heart of Tuscany. Home to many jewels of Italian art and architecture such as the town of Siena, the Abbeys of Monte Oliveto Maggiore and Sant'Antimo, also the wine and cheese of Montalcino, Pienza and Montepulciano. All this awaits you in this beautiful, unspoiled landscape. Our location is an ideal base from which to explore Tuscany. Florence, San Gimignano, Volterra, Chianti, the coastal Maremma and ancient Etruscan towns of Pitigliano, Sovana and Sorano are all comfortable day trips from Podere Salicotto. We organize cooking classes and can arrange hikes, bike rides, horse riding or you can even enjoy a sailing trip on our 38 ft. Hallberg Rassy, in which we crossed the Atlantic before settling in Tuscany.

Buonconvento is the closest town, located at a distance of 2 kilometers and contains many shops, a supermarket, banks with ATM's, restaurants, pharmacy, two museums, art gallery and rail station.

You have a choice of Bed and Breakfast or Self Catering in one of our 7 accommodation options. Our rooms, each with beamed ceilings and terracotta floors, are airy, bright and welcoming, all with lovely views. Also available is a 55m2 studio-apartment above the converted barn.
