The palace which houses LA SIGNORIA DI FIRENZE is located in one of the most ancient Florence’s city streets. It is located at a stone's throw from the major monumental buildings of the city, in the street joining Piazza della Signoria known as Loggia del Porcellino. In this Loggia, had been established the Art of Merchants, Calimala, which was one of the Arts. The guilds of Arts and Crafts of Florence are so many among this section of the historical center where many Artscraft shops are. The first news about the formation of Art is dated 1182. The Corporation lived until 1770 and among the Florentine families belonged to this Corporation We can list the Albizi, and the Pazzi and the Strozzi.
