Lezhe: Attractions and more...
Lezhe is not a town that can be visited specially. But its surroundings are important and Lezhe can be toured along with them. It is also called as the land of churches. The most famous monument here is the ‘Cathedral of Lezhe’ where the body of a great revolutionary Skanderbeg was buried. This place makes a place in the heart of the locals out here because Skanderbeg was a man of kind heart and intentions and this would not have been what it stands today. This monument is dedicated to Saint Nicholas. This city is also famous for its football frenzy and the soccer dedicated fan clubs. The ‘KS Besëlidhja Lezhë’ is the most reputed and honoured football club. Besides these, this city has the ‘Lezhe Town Museum’ which hosts a variety of historical items and items which are rare. There are several parks scattered here and there but none of them have made a name for them outside the city boundaries.
