Tourist Guide Canillo
Canillo, the northernmost parish of Andorra, is situated at a height of 1.53 metres above the sea level.
It is a small, picturesque town that is divided into two halves by a river running through the middle of it. With a population of around 3350 inhabitants, Canillo is an intensely medieval town that boasts of quaint alleyways and rustic wooden houses.
The main economic activities in Canillo are farming and cattle rearing, although the tourism industry is developing in a big way. Canillo is an ideal destination for winter sport lovers.
The city is characterized by a temperate climate—warm and dry summers and snowy, cold winters. May to September is the best time to visit the place for sight-seeing. December and January are ideal months to enjoy winter sports such as ice-hockey and skiing.
