St Nicholas Church in Bad Gastein was established in 1389 and is considered as one of the oldest buildings in the Gastein Valley. Since the middle ages, it still stands unchanged. It has the high altar painting of St. Nicholas in between the statues of St. Ulrich and St. Martin both of which were created in the year 1755. By 1950s, this church was renovated with the side altars opening the old frescoes.
