Tourist Guide Dornbirn
Dornbirn is one of the biggest administrative centers of Austria. It also comprises of the city of Hohenems and the famous market town called Lustenau. It is one of the biggest and most engaged cities in Vorarlberg and the 10th largest in Austria.
It is a very significant commercial center and also the major shopping centre in Austria. Dornbirn is situated in the western part of Vorarlberg at about 440 meters above sea level at the base of the famous Karren Mountains in the eastern Alps. It is bordered on the other sides by famous countries such as Switzerland and Germany. The Dornbirner Ach River runs through almost the entire the city. The area covered by this city is around 47 square meters.
The weather is comfortable even if the summers are warm due to its location in the hilly region. The city is rich in ancient traditions and monuments thus adding to its importance. A recent census was recorded in around 2007 which marked a population of around 46053 people in this city.
